If you are not from Australia, this is essentially the day that the English found what is now known as Australia and began to colonize.
Most Australians spend the day in the backyard throwing a BBQ and spending time surrounded by mates or family. We drink, we eat and some watch sports. Australian flag tattoos are a chic item to support, especially on ones cheeks
Me and Geek Boy are spending the evening with friends, eating lots and playing Cards against Humanity. We have recently discovered this game (yes we realize it's been around for months, possibly years) and love it. You can dig into those parts of your mind you desperately try to keep hidden in your normal life and air them out. Though every time I put down some cards a part of me is inside cringing going, 'I don't actually believe or think this, no one judge me'. But it's okay, our friends are as dark and twisted in the mind as I am, so I am not alone.
So enjoy the lamingtons and snags on the BBQ, I will be back later in the week. Hopefully actually getting the posts up that I want to write about. There are some amazing things to do in this country and I want to share them with everyone.
Have a lovely day and talk to you all later,
Aussie Girl
